Do I need early Bronco specialist shop?

I need someone to identify and address a scraping/grinding sound I am hearing while the 1974 truck is in motion (seems unrelated to engine operation), and also to replace the loud/whining power steering pump (which I have purchased). Is this something where I really need an early Bronco or classic car specialist service shop, or can I rely on a more general service shop? Appreciate your thoughts.

I would lean more to the old car speciality shop, Bronco specific would be best.
Modern general auto repair shops struggle with anything before the mid 90s. Most of them are R&R shops that throw common parts to fix common problems on daily drivers. Actual diagnostic skills are generally rather poor when it comes to special stuff and old schools stuff.

DIY….that’s half the fun of owning an EB (at least to me). It’s problem solving with a little elbow grease. If you think you don’t have the skills the internet has videos on doing anything.

^^what brush hog said^^. If it's still the stock eb steering pump look up Saginaw swap on here. Ford pumps like to whine especially if you have larger than stock tires.

post up where you're at......lots of Bronco people always willing to help. I'm all for the DIY mostly because I grew up in this era and we did most everything ourselves. Make sure the whining isn't just your belt coming loose/getting old.

Is the bronco also new to you, or have you owned it for awhile?
Has it been making the noise for awhile, or did it just start?
