Mexico insurance for EB

So we're planning to go to Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) towards the end of October and I'm toying with the idea of driving the old EB.
I was wondering if anybody else had experience in acquiring declared value Mexico insurance? My present year round Mexico insurance company doesn't insure vehicles that old or do declared value.
Of course we have a secure place to store the vehicle but I don't want to go without coverage.

Safer than LA or Las Vegas! The cops in Peñasco take Gringo safety seriously, it is their bread and butter. In fact, there is a whole Gringo Safety Corridor between the border and Peñasco "no hassel zone".
Moreover, the entire Baja Peninsula is also great, as it is not a route between anywhere and anywhere else. We drive our Mercedes RV to Cabo every year, without incident.
Give up on Gringo prejudice and enjoy $2.00 beers in the bar, go to Mexico.

I don't know of anyone using declared value for their rigs.
Safe - no problem. We Baja folks just ignore the media BS. It isa mostly way exaggerated.

I've never seen where you can get a declared value policy for travel in Mexico. Seems like all our options are liability only.

I have three rigs in Baja . Newer than an EB. All have liability and 500 deductible for collision. Theft is included but is not especially worthwhile for coverage, to much fine print that reduces the payout.

Baja insurance from a Mexican company. US insurance for the states.

I can't help with the original question but I just got back from a week in Cabo and never felt unsafe. We drove a rental car and it was a new experience, there seem to be no road rules observed yet drivers were also very polite. If you drive like an American I think you have a higher chance of needing that insurance than if you go with the flow!

I could easily see living there a few months out of the year in retirement.

We take our class C RV from Flagstaff to Cabo every year and never feel the least bit unsafe. Same with Penasco.
All of our newer vehicles have year round in Mexico insurance including collision, comprehensive, liability and theft.
I've now got so much time effort and money dumped into the EB that I'm hesitant to go anywhere without complete insurance. I like the suggestion of talking to Baja Bound. Seems to me like I spoke to them once before and they had coverage that I liked.
I'll update the thread tomorrow after I make a few phone calls in case anybody else is interested?
Btw, we're planning a trip to Peñasco last week of October!

I spoke to Baja Bound today and they will provide full coverage for EB, needs to be approved. Total loss (theft) is based on JD Power, which is running at about $71K at the moment. $300 for 10 days.

tons of gringo EB owners in baja . you have 2 options

1, Geico US will insure you for mexico with legal geico mexican insurance.
or better and what i use is
Sanborns Mexico auto insurance and dont cheap out, Take the full coverage its cheap .... +/- Us 450 for 6 months
