I will take my explorer/4r70w with factory EFI with harness by Garry all day every day over an LS. If I had a Chevy I would do LS. Putting the 5.0 explorer in is the best over all swap, all
Things considered. Now if I carb the 5.0, the price comes way down. We just finished one with a C4 for under 3k. But you do you, don’t have a problem with LS just not in blue oval stuff. I am not ranting, just stating what I think. Don’t want y’all to think over excited about it lol. You heard of the heartbeat, I am all about hoof beat.
I can not ever imagine a scenario where I'd put an LS in a Ford vehicle.

A "funny car" (i.e. nothing else is Ford) wearing a Ford body is a different sort of thing. Then I'll choose the best engine for the job whether that is a 500ci Cad stroked to 541ci & running Ford FE rockers or a Tesla Plaid motor bolted to a 4 speed Atlas transfer case.

And basically what my bronco is, only thing Ford is the yellow dress. It’s not all necessarily the best parts but the parts I had at the time. I’d of used the same parts if it was a Ford, Jeep, Chevrolet, Dodge, Honda or Telsa.

Well, yeah, there's always that thing called a "Budget" that gets in the way of the best plans!

Another option would be a Godzilla. The retrofit kits are hitting the market now that it has been out a few years.

LS is a great "cheap" platform and can make some great power.
But no I wouldn't install one in a bronco.
I see it basically as the new version of "just drop a chevy small block in every old car or hotrod" I just find it boring....

With that said, I used to drive only chevy's and primarily the big bodied blazers and still like them. If I still had one and it needed an updated engine, yep it would be an LS swap.
