Doing my rollcage in Rustoleum rattle can due to being lazy and being Dutch. Useing Rustoleum Hammered finish. Should I seal it with some type of clear in order to add UV resistence?
I used rustoleum but went with a quart and brushed it on. I added some hardener to it before application and it made for a super strong finish. Just an idea as it’ll be cheaper than using all those spray cans.
Adding a clear coat to your Rustoleum Hammered roll cage is a worthwhile step for extra UV protection and durability, especially if you opt for a compatible Rustoleum Clear Enamel or a 2K clear coat. It’s an optional step, but it can significantly improve the longevity and appearance of your paint job.
Some really good suggesstions, thanks guys! On the way to the shop this morning, I remembered that I have three tops - Rampage soft top, howard-ized safari top, and full top. Probably not much solid reason at all to worry about UV. Thanks again.
