I've been using Speedway Motors for decades. Recently I just had a great customer service experience. Needed a couple of things and ended up ordering them through Speedway. Did the standard shipping, wasn't in any rush. FedEx was a day late dropping it off. Speedway has guaranteed shipping. I didn't even ask and got an email stating the shipment was running a day late and they are refunding my shipping costs. It's those little things that make good customer service. The fact it was automatic, didn't have to request it. And it was on the base shipping as well. And stuff like that is why I keep shopping with them many decades, and many projects later.

Same here, good experiences, they have a black Friday sale going on with various discount levels.

speedway is the best. I had the same thing happen to me today. I saw that fed ex somehow sent my package to florida obviously not speedways fault but they refunded my shipping without my asking. living in iowa just a short distance away from lincoln I usually get everything from them in 1-2 days if it is in stock. they are my go to place now a days. if they don't have what I want, THEN I look somewhere else.

I'm also very close to Speedway Motors and the Museum of Speed. They are a wonderful group of gearheads! Talking with some of the parts counter personal, I've always had issues searching/finding what I was looking for on their website. Counter person agreed with me and suggested to use Google search and add the following after the item I was looking for. "site:speedwaymotors.com" This helped and I'm finding things I knew they had but couldn't find before.

Fedex. These guys are under my skin. We order a lot of stuff for dogs from Chewy.com and usually stuff arrives when it is supposed to. But every once in a while they load their diaper and stuff is either really late or never shows up (and it always comes Fedex), and its usually at a really inopportune time. Like now. Wife ordered two 50 pound bags of dog food on the 6th because we were almost out, (we go through a lot of dog food with 4 Great Danes) and it "normally" arrives the next day. It was scheduled to arrive on the 7th. Tracking showed it shipped from Ocala, Fl. on the 6th, arrived in Waycross, Ga. at 0645 on the 7th after a transfer in Jacksonville. Didn't move again until the 11th when it showed it was out for delivery by end of day, but it didn't get delivered. Checked tracking and it said "No attempt made, delivery sheduled for next business day" at 2213 on the 11th. Should be here on the 12th, according to logic. I've called, messaged customer service, went to the local office, and the best answer I got was "yeah, they have issues in Waycross. They have 15 trailers there and can't get them unloaded. I'm waiting on a bag of cat food myself." That was at the local office on Friday. There is still no movement since that note on the 11th. My wife contacted Chewy and told them not to ship our packages to Waycross anymore. It's ridiculous. Since the 7th, I've had to go to Tractor Supply twice to buy dog food, and I'll likely have to go again if these bags don't show up soon. At this point, if I have a choice of having ANYTHING shipped through Fedex or somebody else, I'm taking somebody else. Sorry about the rant, this really chafes me though.

I was hoping that the local Speedway Motors facility would have a nice showroom and lots of product to browse in-person. Visited one time a few years ago and was sorely disappointed. It's basically an in-person order counter only. It's far enough away that it doesn't make sense to visit in person when online ordering is quicker and I'd spend more in gas than what shipping costs.

So you've been to Lincoln? Did you visit the museum of American Speed? And if anyone is interested. Speedway hosts a cars and coffee on the last Saturday of each month, May through October. It's a big gathering.

There is a satellite store in Phoenix. Like Todd I did stop in once. Pretty limited inventory of anything I could use.

Now I hear the Nebraska store is worth going into, as well as the museum.

If I'm ever in Lincoln, I definitely plan on visiting the home store! I definitely want to visit the museum too - seen pics of it for years and now they have some off road racing stuff too, which sweetens the pot for me.

I was unaware they are in Lincoln NE. Gives me another reason to head that way in 2025!
Come on up! I would love to meet up with you all. The museum is awesome and Cars and Coffee Saturdays, is a big gathering.
