Bell housing access cover missing???

I just noticed this open space today when looking at this picture. Is there supposed to be a small plate covering this opening? I cant find anything online for this.

On a stock C4 auto there's a removable inspection cover at the bottom (#8391 in the image below). But maybe your AX15 has a different spacer plate. To be honest the way it's cut looks more like a shade tree mechanic than a factory situation.

That looks hacked. As in they forgot to install it, instead of removing the transmission they just cut a slot, slide it in the gap, then bolted it down.

Autos have 2-piece so the flex plate bolts can be accessed.
Manuals are 1-piece.

Was digging through some old photos. Looks when I purchased it there was no plate at all.

Hi, as mentioned, whatever tin spacer plate you ended up with, I think was cut to slip behind the flywheel. It is supposed to be installed before the flywheel. I would think about cutting piece of sheetmetal and fitting it in. Good luck
