After installation the hood can't be closed, this looks to be a common upgrade. but this kit off ebay does not fit. What is the solution, the parts all look like good quality pieces but when assembled the MC is too high.

If It’s the master cylinder hitting, it’s an occasional headache. Just haven’t heard of it in a while.
We’ve had to suggest putting washers under the master to give it an angle.
Or maybe it wasn’t a master cylinder, but instead was the mounting bracket itself against the firewall. That’s probably it. Washers under the upper bolts.
I wonder if it was always the same brand? Or if it could happen to anybody?
Since we all know that Broncos aren’t the most consistently built vehicles in the first place, perhaps there’s the occasional misplaced hole in a firewall.

Yes, when I had one of the early kits I had to put some washers under the top half of the firewall bracket to get more down angle at mc

Slope it down and/or get a shorter master cylinder. Without knowing which MC you're running, the latter may not be an option. Worst case, you could swap out a presumably conventional tandem master cylinder for one with remote reservoirs like these ones.

Pictures please. And maybe a link to the eBay seller?a
The sellers solution was to use washers to shim the top bolts on the mount and the diaphragm. This would tilt the MC down. My guess is that changing angles on moving parts on such a critical component may not be a good idea. Besides, the washers would make the installation look Mickey Mouse. The correct solution was to get a low profile MC.
