My 1967 Roadster has a ground strap attached to the left side of the hood. Can anyone tell me if it is stock or not?
I'm embarrassed to say I can't figure out how photos work in messages. I can't drag it or get the insert box to work. Can you help?Ford did that to other vehicles, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one from the factory on a bronco.
And I’m not sure how far back they started doing them, but I only started noticing them in the mid to late 70s.
Got a picture?
I didn't notice any markings but will look closer.Certainly not without some good pics, but it's not likely stock. Does it have any visible markings? How is it attached?
No problem. It’s not as simple as some sites, but there are ways.I'm embarrassed to say I can't figure out how photos work in messages. I can't drag it or get the insert box to work. Can you help?
Okay, thanks for the information, I'll work on it.No problem. It’s not as simple as some sites, but there are ways.
The simplest and most effective, is to pay the 12 bucks a year to become a contributor. That lets you post images right from your device to the discussion.
Or you can post your images up on a free hosting site, such as SuperMotors or similar type.
Or you can upload them to your “garage“ or your “gallery“ functions in the user CP above.
If that doesn’t work, you can email them to one of us with a contributor status, I can do that when I’m around the computer, but I can’t do it from my phone.
So if the garage and gallery doesn’t work, and you don’t feel like using another site, we can work out the email thing.
So that it becomes an RFI shield between the ignition system & the radio antenna mast. Why would you ground a Bronco hood?
That definitely looks old, but definitely not original. If Ford had done it, it would have serrated ring terminals - not forks. And the lower one wouldn't be tucked under a body bolt's washer. My late 1966 U15 had one on the passenger side hood hinge.

...and so it can be used as a power ground for hood-mounted electrical loads, like lights as DD said.

No, this isn't the thread or forum for that discussion. But that was a long time ago, and I remember virtually nothing beyond what's in the captions of this photo album:Hey Steve my name is Ian I was wondering if you can start a conversation with me on this website I have a 94 cv that I’m working on and doing the same project you did to your crown Vic with the 2000 computer system I’m really confused of what wires do I need to cut
