Does anyone know if any vendors make a threaded oil pan dipstick plate. I need to replace the leaking gasket at the plate where the dipstick tube enters the oil pan. I would like to replace the plate with one that has a threaded insert and not the slip style.

I have searched the part number and was not able locate. Where did you purchase this or do you know the manufacturer?

This part came on my original bronco oil pan from my 76 bronco so any bronco that has the threaded dipstick tube will work you just have to drill and tap the four holes to hold it in place and make a gasket with sealer. You have to drill out those original rivets to get the part out of the oil pan first

I see. I don’t have that option so I will need to try to find this part. I thought everything was on the internet, maybe not.

Thanks again, this is a great idea.

That cast part is not a seperate part. It comes attached to the oil pan. To replace that cast part, you replace the whole oil pan. The gasket was never intended to be serviced.

For a project many years ago I ended up using some 3/8 tubing as the dipstick tube and pipe threads into the pan on a welded in bung. Stuck the dipstick in, figured how far off it was, adjusted the tube length until the oil level on the stick matched the old stick (pan rail to full mark). Now I had a screw in dipstick tube that was also the correct length. And had a factory dipstick.
