Someone know if there’s a vendor or someone with replacement lids for the ZBOX under hood tool box

So I have checked, they don’t carry just lids. I asked if they can ask the manufacturer. I was told no, they don’t offer it. That answer surprised me. Now I understand in WH eyes it’s probably better not to offer it that way you buy the whole box not only the lid but why loose a sale or customer over something small. Now I know plenty people have lost broken or simply misplaced their lids so their is a market for it, specially if all they need to do is stamp out extra lids, no developing or new engineering money needed. I was asking in case they were sold under a different vendor for a different vehicle with the same lid, maybe someone is aware it.

It’s a under hood storage. Goes where the driver’s side air vent goes. WH has them listed as Z Box .

Looks like vacuum formed plastic. The form is probably setup to make both parts in a single pull. Makes sense that they don't offer lids alone, you would be asking to make a special run of just half the vacuum form. Vacuum forms don't run that way. They do whole parts only. I spent a little time in a vacuum forming shop many years ago while going to school that had a huge plastics degree option. Even through I didn't take the plastics degree, you still learn stuff just from being around people who are.

That’s been considered as well. I’m looking to see if someone's been through the search already. There might be something already molded that could be the same size needed. I might just pick up another and drive around to see what I can find.

That’s what I was looking for. I was sure it was made in that size for something else. Hope this helps others as well. Thank you Sir for taking the time to post.

This will work, I was actually going to start looking at Tupperware or other plastic lids of that type. Thanks again
