Fitting 351W + Q-jet Carb under stock hood -- Econoline intake?

I have a 351W and a Q-jet carb installed by PO that I'd like to keep. I also have a cut hood crossmember and hood scoop that I'd like to do away with. I've read up on all the prior posts I could and it sounds like the easiest (maybe the only?) way is with a low profile Econoline intake manifold. I just can't seem to find enough info to know where to look for one. Looking at VIN engine code guides only shows 2bbl carbs or EFI in small block equipped Econolines. What am I missing?

Offenhauser made a 351w qjet intake. Bery hard to find. Ford did a thermoquad and not sure if the bolt pattern would ne the same.

Econoline intake will be a square bore. Never heard of a factory spreadbore (Q-jet style) 351W intake. So an adapter would be needed. That eats away the clearance.

351 off manifold modified for q jet.........As noted no spreadbore 351w intakes 69 mustang /cougar 4bbl manifolds are low profile and also used the PCV spacer so that adds an inch but still low.. ...offy with q jet will be the lowest you can get, stock 69 with addaptor will be about an 1/8 inch higher,, a performer with a carter AFB will be a 1/4-3/8 taller qjet will need the adaptor so add an inch... Ive ran all three under a stock hood but you need a low profile air cleaner and short element.. the offy manifold the ports will need to be ground nout to accept the throttle plates they are a squarebore when new..... boss 351 had a spreadbore with a I think was a 4130 motorcraft carb, {not the best carb} but was out there wont work for your 351w though.........current set up in pic 69 351w offy q jet stock hood ,, 1inch body lift 3 inch drop air cleaner

This is all great info. I should have included that I did read about the Offenhauser, but that the Econoline intake plus adapter left the same finished height so I was thinking more that direction. I just didn't know what years/options I was looking for.

Does the aircleaner clear the sheetmetal but interfere with hood cross member?
Here is a pic of my hood. Before fuel injection on my 351W I had Edelbrock intake, Holley T/A and a tall air cleaner. Took inner bracing from a scrap hood and added to mine as shown in pics... Might help you out as well?

Chuck from bc ran a 351w, Econoline manifold, adapter and q-jet with a stock air cleaner under a stock hood. I've got a 351w with the modified offy, q-jet and an Edelbrock air cleaner and planning to use a stock hood but I have a 2" body lift.

Yeah I had read that about Chuck elsewhere and I have a 1” body lift so I knew there was hope.
I’ve now done a pretty deep dive on part numbers and model years and it looks like 84-85 are the only two years that offered a 351 w/ 4bbl carb. When searching on car-part.com, it’ll return results for trucks too but I’m confused if that’s because they’re actually the same part number and are identical or if it’s because they simply have the same bolt pattern. Anyone have any idea if the truck manifolds of that era were low profile the same as the Econolines?

Finally found the Ford small block Offy low rise spreadbore manifold, a bit pricey though at $750:

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ofy-5602/make/ford/year/1994

I was interested as I’ve ordered an altitude compensating Qjet to replace my Edelbrock 1406 sitting on a Performer intake manifold from Bruce Benner of Az Carburetors Unlimited. Highlander hood with scoop, 1” body lift and right now I have about 3/4” space above the air cleaner. The current E-carb has a .32” anti-percolation gasket under it and a 3/8” lift on the air cleaner base. Switching to a drop 7/8” air cleaner base and going to the thinner Qjet anti-percolation Rochester OEM gasket # 1248516, should allow room for the spreadbore ~1” adapter even with the Performer.

Thar appears to be the offy I'm running. It doesn't look to be much lower than a performer but has the correct bolt pattern.. when I got mine the were like 300 something at summit. I paid about 100 at the swap meet. I still see em there from time to time.
