Attempted body shell project... no buyers?

I attempted to rebuild a body using DC parts and my original rear section. Could not get it right. Did not weld anything... just sheet metal screws and some 3M Panel bond. Ended up buying a DC assembled body (though I probably should have looked harder at the Chinese painted bodies) since most parts are from Taiwan anyway.

Offered it up on FB Marketplace but no takers. If you had this, would you try and sell it for a loss or store it and keep? Was thinking of coating it with lanolin to prevent surface rust, cover it, move it out of sight and wait years till I find a titled frame and have the time to do another build.

Was asking 5K not including hardtop. Video was for FB and only allowed 1 minute max.

Plans do have a way of changing with Broncos, don’t they!
Did you put it up in the classified section here?

Yes sir they do!... yeah, I had it up a while ago. I guess I'll just wrap it up and store it or maybe try and part it out.

What could you "not get right" when putting the body together?

That may be why you haven't had any interest. You can buy a brand new body tub kit for $5800. If I was in the market and you want $5k for yours with some issue or I can buy a blank slate for a little more, well I'm going the new route. May be more time in it, buy I know it's all new metal.

I don't know how to weld for one. Was planning on using 3M structural panel epoxy. Almost every piece needed trimming, bending, tweaking. It was just a royal pain for a novice.

Gotcha, hell of an undertaking when you don't know how to weld/fabricate.
