    Duraspark or RTR Dizzy?

I too am a fan of the Mallory Unilite Dist. However mallory has pretty much been discontinued / bought out and much of the Mallory products are not available, or remade cheaper.

    Longer pushrod Question

Well if its not a smaller base circle cam then I too dont know why I would be having pushrod length issues. That was my only reason for justifing needing a longer pushrod. When I get the rockers I will re measure pushrod length and see what is what. Thanks for the help

    Longer pushrod Question

The stock motor had pedestal heads on it. it also had the stock 6.25 pushrods. yes I used a retrofit cam with a smaller base circle. I have no history on the engine, but when I took it apart it looked great on the inside. The rocker arm issue caught me off guard. When I was measuring for...

    Longer pushrod Question

This is a pedestal rocker mount. There is no adjustment after they are torqued down. But I like the preload answers. .060 seems to make the most sense to me. So adjustable pushrod tool set to zero lash and then add .060. Now to find a pushrod that is close. Thank you all.

    Longer pushrod Question

I have installed a new H Roller cam into a 1986 302 truck motor. It has the stock pedestal rockers. I knew I was going to need longer pushrods due to the smaller base Dia. of the new cam. So I got my pushrod checking tool and figured out I needed 32 thousandths longer pushrod to get to zero...

James Duff Long Arm Install questions

Ok I run the 205 in one of my broncos. It's real hard to fit it under the body without doing a 2'' body lift. The 205 should lifted up higher. Your front output angle is pointing up I would guess about 10 degrees. That makes it hard to get that front shaft to work even with a high angle...

    It’s cut and turn time

I know of several off road vehicles that are set up with 12 degrees. When you are turning hard in the rocks it puts the edge of the tire on the rocks. Helps with grip and front digs.

    It’s cut and turn time

All good info, I have to remember that The Lime Ranger is using his bronco front end. I am usually narrowing a full size axle to get a high pinion axle under the bronco. So I can see there may be less work on fixing up the stock bronco housing.

    It’s cut and turn time

You posted you were not doing this work on the axle. This is a job I have done several times. I take the axle out from under the truck. I cut off the wedges after marking the outermost location of the wedges. I then take the inner C's off the axle. I then cut the track bar mount off. I...
