Looks like a good time to me.

I just weld the F out of them

NO

I have an E7 block with a push in pan mounted dipstick. The dipstick tube is missing so that means I need to find something that fits. The push in pan mounted tubes are my least favorite design. it's almost worth buying a new pan to get the screw in dip stick. I was wondering if anyone has...

This may sound a little weird but try this. Tap the ball into the shift rail. try and Changs its position. Then take the front drivers side cap off . Apply air pressure to the front hole. The shift rod detent cuts will allow air to travel to the second / back hole. If you can put a magnet...

That is not the right size pill/ ball. There is nothing in the front hole that you can take out unless the shifter rod is removed first. There is a pill between the two front shift rods. a ball and spring on the 2 back holes with another Pill between the two shift rods. The part in the first...

Thanks for the help and information offered up on my set screw situation. I got into the last bucket of parts and found 2 in the bottom of the bucket. I'm a lucky guy. Unfortunately I have now mixed my T's and J parts into 2 buckets now. Anyway this was more of a grumpy post from me venting...

That would be a NO. But thanks for looking.

I may need them. I have not gone thru the final buck o parts yet. perhaps I will get a chance to look tomorrow night after work. Thanks for the offer.

Thanks Phil. I have one more bucket to go thru, we will see how that goes. Your a sick puppy putting locktite on them. I guess if you never had to work on them again it would be just fine. Kind of a sick little joke your playing if you stop and think about it a little.

I like the lower link , those could work if the head size is not a problem. Not much room next to that shift fork. Thanks Randy. I do have one more bucket O parts way back in the container

Here is the set screw used in the shift fork. The cone shape fits into the shift rod to hold it all in position. This is the one I did not drill out. You can see the Alan head is worked pretty good. I dont want to re use it. I stripped the other head out and had to drill it. You need a...

They are not normal set screws. They have a cone shape tip on them that matches the cone shaped hole in the shift rod. They fit very tight into the rod. I have looked for any kind of thread locker residue on all the set screws. I see nothing.

Yes I do. But they still suck. The real bitch is now I got to go into another case to steal 2 set screws! I dumped the buckets (2) of dana 20 parts and found zero set screws. I dont know where them little F'ers went but I cant find them. I do not know of a source to get these, anyone?

Anyone that takes a dana 20 apart knows that the shift fork set screws can be a real pain! I got all the right tools to do this job but last night these set screws kicked my but. 2 hours to get 2 set screws out! I swear the factory must put lock tight on them. I ended up drilling one of...

I would think Friday is a good day. Most Fridays are.

I dont believe the throwback show will be supported that well. Limited venders if any, no raffle, more like here's a field, you all have fun. I enjoyed last years show, but it was not near as fun as the past events. It will never be the same. Venders will follow the money. They will be at...

Should of gone a little faster. That always helps.

What's to talk about? We all know about it. It's really about when. I dropped a rear drive shaft on the trail , It had both the sheared output shaft and the sheared 9'' pinion input still in the driveshaft. It was a fun time and it showed just how talented some of us are.

I use 2 lengths of square tubing that run under the front axle and rear axle. Then I lift from under the tubing. Works really good except if you need the suspension to droop. Very safe. 2.5'' sq. x 1/4''
