I think I'm going to go to a single exhaust off of the headers. I want to run it over the frame and out behind the doors and just don't want to deal with all the pipes and crushing them. I think a 3" would work at the collector of the two tail pipes. Any opinions on this?

Yeah I second the diaphram conversion from luk. I did that to mine and the clutch is much better. It is like a 20 finger pressure plate instead of the 3 finger plate. And just get the kit, with pressure plate, disk, thow out bearing and pilot bearing all in one.

If you already have them disassembled then just count the splines on the shafts that go into the center section of the diffy. Your dana 44 is more then likely 30 spline and the rear just pull an axleshaft and count the splines. probably 28 spline. Setting up a diffy is a little bit more...
