i have a 192 degree thermostat in right now. should i try a 180 or 160 degree?

it hasnt gone over 210. once i start it up after it reaches that temp, the starter will keep turning with no engine fire. i might try a thermostat with a lower temp.

i dont have working heater in my 66 and don't plan on using it. if i take off the heater core hoses and loop it back to the motor, will it cause problems?

is the oil pressure gauges job to tell you that you have oil in the motor?

i run 10/30 oil in it. it tops off at 50 while idling. it should rise when the RPM's do? this is my first old car with gauges i actually have to pay attention to. im kind of new at it.

The truck came with the regulator. It's a low pressure one too. 1-5psi. I first noticed it after I put on the new reg. I never even messed with the air filter while I was putting it on. I'm learning about carbureted motors as I go. It seems the previous owner/owners neglected this ol gal.

so i had to replace my fuel pressure regulator. once i had it hooked up, it started leaking from underneath the air filter on my carburetor. is there supposed to be something on this part or is it an overflow?

thanks a bunch. i didnt take all of the old seal out. it was causing some funny grinding noises in my driveshaft.

so my driveshaft was leaking from the yoke at my rear differential. i pulled it apart, it had the rubber seal but no metal casing around it. am i supposed to put this whole thing back on? and how am i supposed to go about doing it??

i bought this pinion seal the other day. i just slide this whole thing on and bolt it back again?
