Check the hoses to the gas tanks. Sometimes they look OK but if they're in really rough shape sometimes they weep and it's tough to see.

Yes, it could be a DD ,although better a sunny DD, with regular maintenance providing it was in good shape on purchase. The high of driving it is only heightened by the fact there could be an explosion,at any moment.
