I made the best of a bad situation....on the Saturday race day I pointed my beat up 2006 Verna rental car towards La Paz...gave the racers a 2 hour head start from Loreto and raced them to the finish line from Cabo. With all the road construction going on it was great. Came in about 4th. However...

Here are a few pictures taken in La Paz of the Norra 2011, Mexican 1000 race finish. Lots more trucks arrived later in the day, these pictures were taken in the three hours I was there. Couple of EB's in the race unsure if they made it the 1,000 miles.

Did you ever think that garage..... is his therapy?

turbotim2 - I thought that was standard....lol....It was like that when I purchased it. The one time it died on me in upstate NY, the garage that fixed it unhooked the jacobs electronic ignition and used the other coil with points, that was about 10,000 miles ago, so it seems to have worked.

I had the good fortune to be able to participate in the NORRA Mexican 1000 race last year. With a little bit of luck and the proper star alignment, at this point, it looks like I'll be heading back for this years race. I hope to share the race experience with a friend in tow this year. I tried...
