I have to change the seal on the tranny where the linkage attaches to the stud on the tranny. How much do I have to take off to get to the nut inside? Pan is off, filter is off. The next plate is too bid to get past so it has to come off. Looks like a gasket next then another plate the same...

thats it but it bottoms out and won't seat flatly against the seal. should I force it and try to bend the tube a little? the part numbers match the catalog numbers for the aux tank sending unit. The filter on this one sits back closer to the float than the one for the main tank. So this unit...

Installing the new aux tank and the sending unit from JBG won't fit with the filter facing towards the bottom "flat side" of the tank. Am I missing something? Does the sending unit need to be oriented so that the filter faces up?

Unbolted the linkage from the trans. There a ......cylinder with slots on either side still holding the last part of the linkage onto the tranny. What type of retainer is this? How do I remove it? How do I put it back on? I'm trying to change that seal. Hopefully thats the last tranny...

Is there a trick to getting the aux tank straps out? Got the tank out but the straps are rotten. Got new ones but trying not to lift the body off the frame to get the dang old ones out. Do I have to? I don't want to just cut the old ones off and leave the ends rattling around in there...

bolted everything up and had some leaks between the tranny and transfer case. there is supposed to be transmission fluid in the housing between the tranny and transfer case right? Hopefully the leak is just that gasket. If not what next?

Anyone no the part # for the square shouldered o-ring on the idler shaft? It didn't come in the kit.

Alright, I think I got the transfer case straight. Now underneath...It looks like I have some tranny fluid coming out from around where the linkage bolts to the side of the housing. Anyone know off hand what type of seal is behind this? If it is a seal I can replace it where it is. If it is...
