    Minimum Setup For “Easyish” Trails

As asked above your current set up would be helpful. For easier trails 31’s with or without a lift is a great start. Bronco’s are sized where they will do remarkable things in stock form. As an example, we have done a lot of trails in Moab with my wife’s bone stock V8 explorer, it doesn’t...

Master list of non-stock front seat options - what do you use?

For even lower bolster look at the PRP buggy seat, it is what JHF puts in all of his portaled crawlers and they are comfy to sit in. Yeah, my Ram and previous SD did a great job of ruining me as well, so does driving the race hauler 975 miles each way to Crandon WI, 1 fill up. I hate stopping...

Master list of non-stock front seat options - what do you use?

I'm with you on the comfy part, drove 13 hours straight from CO to home a couple of weeks ago, never felt uncomfortable, Did have to stop every 150 miles for fuel though LOL, needs a bigger tank.

Master list of non-stock front seat options - what do you use?

Half cab folks would probably be interested as well. In my classic truck I’m running a PRP daily driver with the headrest bent forward to get the seat back as far as possible. It gives me decent leg room, the headrest is bent forward enough to be about where most modern vehicles are at where...

Looking for a solid green as close to limestone poly as I can get

Mine is sprayed with Nason single stage urethane, it has been extremely durable and buffed out nicely. I’m no help on color…. Reminds me, I need a gallon to paint my new doors.

Why won't my HD output or Atlas tcase speedometer not work?

I decided that I needed to correct the speedometer on my J Truck. It read 8% fast, finally had enough of doing the math and driving😂 so I went from a 34 tooth gear to a 37 tooth, spot on now. Also tested the dot at 6:00 theory, works perfectly. 32-38 tooth dot at 6:00 and like magic it works 😂

Master list of non-stock front seat options - what do you use?

I sat kn one at super cell a few weeks ago, I was impressed. On a different note the classic pickup truck market needs one that is thin in back the from just below the shoulders and up for leg room and back angle for classic standard cab pickups. If I could gain 1” of leg room or lean the back...

PRAYING FOR MY SOUTHERN BROTHERS AND SISTERS!

I didn't do any TV or social media over the weekend. I had checked on my FL and GA peeps on Friday, which were all good. had no idea about the damage in the Carolina's and Tennesse until this morning  prayers for those folks for sure!

Drove it 265 miles round trip to to have lunch with my Dad on his 75th birthday😎

    Quiet mud tires?

I do to, used to be if you wanted a round tire that wore well, drove great and was an easy sure fire win, BFG all the way. Now it’s a real crap shoot to get a good set of them, now the best options seem to come from Japan and Korea. I’ve had good luck from Cooper which is one of the last...

    Bronco Cooling System

You say timing was checked. As in baseline timing? 1 degree retarded can add 30 degrees. I would begin with checking to make sure that when the motor is at top dead center the pointer is at zero. From there I’d bump up a couple of degrees and see what that does, can do that without checking...

Why won't my HD output or Atlas tcase speedometer not work?

I follow what you’re saying. I start with the eccentric as far away as possible from the drive gear, so the thinnest part of the eccentric is at the bottom. At that point, I’ve yet to find a pencil gear that engages the drive gear on the output, not saying it can’t happen, I’ve just not...

    factory wheel stud length

I’ve had luck going to a Dorman 610-347 however it is 9/16-18 thread, will require new lug nuts and depending on your wheel you may need to just kiss the ID of the stud holes with a 9/16” drill bit, not enough to hurt anything. In my opinion if adding spacers, upgrading wheel studs is not a bad...

Why won't my HD output or Atlas tcase speedometer not work?

I spent 8 years as a transmission tech In the 90’s, I didn’t learn the 6:00 thing until recently. I always used my pocket screw driver to wiggle the gear while I installed the gear housing, rotated the housing counter clockwise until it stopped then rotate it back enough to get the clamp on, it...

Why won't my HD output or Atlas tcase speedometer not work?

This is what I find interesting, it is not in anyone’s instructions that I can find. This design is sold by many companies and produced by several manufacturers.

Ice chest for ProtoFab rear bumper

Since this was brought up. I think the cooler has been discontinued it was built for. My fuzzy brain says it was a 48qt very similar to this 54qt which is slightly larger than your measurements but does taper at the bottom. It might help someone else with the same question. Whether or not it...

Ice chest for ProtoFab rear bumper

Only suggestion I’ve got is 13x22 that I use. I’m pretty sure it was a Coleman that they made those for but don’t know if it is still made.
