    stock faceplate bluetooth upgrade

Yes, current version has controls for volume on the left knob, and pause/play, next track, and previous track on the right knob.

you definitely should be trying to get that back, I am feeling very close to finish on this! Hoping to ship unit number one to my dude in PA this week!

    stock faceplate bluetooth upgrade

Ok, I have added control via the right knob for pause/play, next track and previous track. It required a fair amount of reworking internal components but I've got it pretty well sorted out. In the meantime I have also gotten a freshly chromed faceplate, so once the illumination is worked back...

    Replica dash knobs

Oh cool, I see. Can't believe in all the time i have spent looking at knobs recently I haven't seen those. In some ways those are easier than the ones I made, and in another way more difficult. I will do some digging....

    Replica dash knobs

If I come across one, or if someone wants to loan me one, I would be happy to! Are they like the 66 dash knobs, or like the Econoline van knobs, or neither?

    Replica dash knobs

I've been doing a bunch of custom stereo stuff and in the course of that found myself modifying lots of knobs, both factory and the aluminum ones from WH. It was enough so that I decided, mostly for the hell of it, to try my hand at making my own. Took a little bit of dialing in (see what I did...

    remove wiper linkage(s)

Sounds like you are trying to piece together your own dual electric wiper kit? I did the same hunt when I was doing my wipers and best I came up with in the motors was about 200 shipped, then added a cole hersee synchro switch and wired it uo carefully. The motors I ended up with didn't work...

    stock faceplate bluetooth upgrade

Pricing isn't finalized quite yet, and obviously this uses some stock parts, so that factors in. However its safe to say that the goal here is that a complete setup (faceplate, unamplified receiver, knobs and numbers plate) will be the same or less than a retro sounds.

    Interesting Original Parts

My fingers reflexively "cancel" my turn signal ALMOST every time, but this still happens to me from time to time :)

    Manual transmission.

Mine's on the floor, but definitely prefer the stick to the auto that was on my '76

    stock faceplate bluetooth upgrade

In this version it's just a dummy, although its a functional switch. It could easily be wired up to the faceplate or a different accessory. In the version that I will be selling, the left knob controls the volume as it was when stock and the right knob is an on/off switch for the whole unit.

All in one bluetooth unit using stock faceplate

Just for fun, I have been modeling the actual faceplate too, in order to see how well I can replicate it. I'm going to make some refinements to the model I made that is pictured here, and then plan to put a finish on it. I'm going to do one with filler primer and chrome paint, and another with...

    stock faceplate bluetooth upgrade

Thank you. These Bronco projects are fun because they are so multi-disciplinary. They always involve something I'm kinda good at and something I'm not so skills get sharpened with every new idea. I love having the truck as an inspiration for projects and a reward for completion.

All in one bluetooth unit using stock faceplate

Absolutely. In the first setup I used what was on hand, the leftover Rockford Fosgate pot. But in this one I used a generic pot. Slightly different footprint than the one you linked since space is tight in there, but same idea.

All in one bluetooth unit using stock faceplate

Last year, I spent some time working out a mod to keep the stock faceplate for volume control but add bluetooth connectivity and delete the bulky radio body. I was very happy with it and used it all season. Despite being pleased with it, the mod left some things to be desired. In order to...

    stock faceplate bluetooth upgrade

I'm definitely into making more of these. It requires very light mod to the faceplate and mods to the knobs. I use the WH Aluminum Billet ones, I am not sure if I can do it with the factory plastic ones, but it could be possible. This would likely be a "send me a faceplate and I will send it...
