Center speakers Here is what I did. Two 6" speakers. The box has a center divider and is made from 5/8 ply. The carpet was $5 at home depot. Total cost for the box was less than $10 and the time it took. The angle of the speakers gives some stereo effect. Jeff

Find a local chrome shop. They will strip them and give them a nice new coat of chrome. I would not pay more than 40-50 for both. 1/2 price of new chrome and I bet you get a nicer product.

Try a little WD40 first. I had the same problem and it did wonders. Roll the window up and take the door panel off. Spray, jiggle, spray. Worked for me.

I have run K&Ns on my bikes for years with no problems. I have never heard of the shrinkage issue. Did they ever explain why it happens?
