J.B. Fab ZF 5 speed shifter

I just bent some 1/2" round stock and welded a litttle plate to the bottom and a bolt to the top. The $5 option. What did he charge you for that one? Looks nice and would match my twinsticks in SS.

    Cummins, ZF5, D20 Bronco Build....

Should be a wide ratio then. Guessing with that motor the gap between 3 and 4 is going to feel big. It sure does with my 351C. Great trans though, you will love it. My input shaft seal leaked otherwise runs and shifts great! Get 3.5 quarrts of Redline MTL for it. Don't use ATF.

    ZF Swap

"Now your 4.11 and 35" tire combo. That isn't going to fly. You didn't state what engine you have" This combo works great for me running a 351C but 4.56s would be better gears. Currently I can drive up most freeway hills in 5th at 70 MPH. Steep hils require a downshift.

    ZF Swap

Just did this swap with a 205 and it's not too bad. Not to hard to take the case apart and check the gears, mine had to come apart as the front seal/input shaft was leaking. Of course I didnt know this till I had it all together and running. I had no play on the input or output and the gears...

short throw kit for the ZF-5 speed

I have heard positive things about it and my guess is that it improves shift feel. Weather it is worth spending $200 to have a slightly smaller pattern I can't say.

    ZF Front Seal -HELP-

update Thanks Mark! Was not all that hard to pull the case and replace the seal. Was able to reuse the detent plugs and get it all done last night. Found a small peice of white plastic stuck in the input shaft seal. Maybe had something to do with the leak. Not sure where it came from. Now...
