    If your Sport letters are silver in the middle it just means that the red inserts dried up and fell out or somebody pulled them out, simple as that. ;) The red plastic inserts were introduced in 1967 for the new Sport Model.

    So from the factory, the inner part of the grille was either: Standard - Wimbledon White with black painted letters Sport - Argent Silver with chrome letters that had red plastic inserts Special Décor - Semigloss Black with chrome letters that had red plastic inserts

    I believe there are two different dash pads. There is a 66/67 pad with 4 screw recesses. These would be found on all 66 and early 67 models with the Sport model only having the lower dash trim. Makes sense for Ford to use up old inventory like other "66" parts. Not sure when the change was...
