    Factory Grill Lettering Color

I believe black on a Wimbledon White grille is correct.

Most bonkers bronco ever, 9 second quarter, 289 power, naturally aspirated, and way more crazy stuff

Very interesting. A lot more to the story than I had realized.

    BAT Craziness

    6.7 L = ~409 ci. 5.8L = ~354 ci. In my 78 Bronco I have a 351M with a 400 rotating assembly bored .040 over. I refer to it as a 410.

The 6.7L didn't sell! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1974-ford-bronco-222/#comments-anchor Gotta vent a little here. Seller lists a 74 and insists it's a 6.7 liter. BAT changes the listing to say 6.7L. I comment and ask what engine exactly is a 6.7L? That's 408 or 410 ci. So I...

    Dealer installed under dash ac

Pretty sure Broncos lost the knobs mid-year '69 when they converted to electric wipers and stopped claiming a fold-down windshield. Same time they lost the windshield hold down latch on the ws frame and lost the loop on the hood.

Colorado Bronco Owners Group Snow Run

Most of the long-time Bronco drivers will say "Who needs the GOAT modes? Just manually select 4WD and turn the lockers on and off as needed." Well the GOAT modes do more than that by adjusting shift points, feathering the throttle, possibly adjusting steering feel, and the off-road only modes...

Colorado Bronco Owners Group Snow Run

I had to borrow the chains I used - they were cam-lock and V-bar and worked very well. I will definitely get some cam-lock ones when I buy a set. The traction boards worked well too. I have always thought they were gimmicky kinda like snorkels but after seeing them work (and how to properly...

Colorado Bronco Owners Group Snow Run

Todd, that was discussed and 2 factors were pointed out. First, without at least 1/2 inch spacers on the front only cable style chains will fit which was pretty much the determining factor for all of us attending. But, Second, front or rear should be determined by where you need the traction...

Colorado Bronco Owners Group Snow Run

The Colorado Bronco Owners Group - a Facebook Group mainly for Gen6's - held a snow run / snow wheeling class on Saturday which I attended. Nine Gen6's attended. Great day, perfect weather and some really nice trails. The format was we all trailed for a while then there was a snow wheeling...

    Best of both worlds build

Sounds like a great plan for your build. I did not go full width but I did stretch the wheel base as far as I dared without stretching the body. My goal was 104 inches which I got with the frame stretch and moving the the front forward. It measures about 103 1/2 static on the ground. This is...

Nope. Sold it at Mecum a few years ago.

To lift or not to lift

It would look good with a small lift. I personally like a combination of small SL and BL. Say, 2 1/2" SL and 1" BL. You'll get a few folks who hate body lifts, but they add clearance and working room between the body and frame. And 1 inch is not very noticeable and does not require bumper...

“Budd Body” Let’s end this term!

Wow! This tells me my '78 Bronco is a Budd Body Bronco! I'll have to work that into my sales ad should I ever decide to sell it . . . Nice summary Jimmy. It's good to get the truth out there but it erases what was a pretty good story of Bronco lore. (The eyebrow grille will never die!)...
