There were a good half dozen different brands/models/shapes/fits/etc. Even back in the day. Sometimes it was even a regional thing. One brand might be more popular in one location.

I always wished my install was this clean.
I've got an ARA as will under mine and @spap I've got another blower section (the fan and fins) I've been holding onto for parts if you end up needing something. No side vents/lines/etc tho.

They don’t make that one anymore. ARA is still in business but I think they focus more on agricultural applications. You can find the under dash units on eBay occasionally. They were pretty popular for Fords in the 60’s and 70’s. I’ve still got the warranty and instructions for mine. It was purchased from ARA of Phoenix and installed by Mel Clayton Ford.

If anyone has one of these old ara units like is pictured above for sale, I’d be interested in one to restore.

‘Very nice interior I like the Coco mats and the AC unit looks like a nice one

Thanks. That A/C unit was surprisingly well preserved when I pulled it out for cleanup. I did find that the whole plastic housing had started to sag, probably from years in the Arizona heat. I got after it with a heat gun and it straightened right out.

I’m bringing this back up cause I finally acquired one of these units and I love how that looks in slow leaks truck. Also noticed that there are no knobs for the windshield in that dash.

Not all EB’s came with knobs. I have owned mostly later models and never had one with knobs. I don’t know when they switched to bolts.

Honestly, I don't know when they stopped but my '70 had bolts. I would think it would have been when they stopped putting the fold down latch mechanisms on the hood and windshield frame. But that's just a guess.
I put knobs in mine. I like the look.....

Pretty sure Broncos lost the knobs mid-year '69 when they converted to electric wipers and stopped claiming a fold-down windshield. Same time they lost the windshield hold down latch on the ws frame and lost the loop on the hood.
