well I put it all together today and left the d20 empty and the drain plug out and put a few quarts in the trans and it all is just draining through. so I dont know what to do, I cant find a seal, and the sealed bearing does nothing. what is different from the zf adapter than the 4r70w that...

what i have is a sealed bearing and then no seal, I couldnt find a seal for it so we are trying just a new sealed bearing

Hmm well I'm just going to use some lock tight 680, suppose to be good for sealing bearing I guess. I heard from someone else on here it worked for him

We got the d20 adapter seal from wild horses and it doesn't fit. This is the size it's suppose to be, 2.730 od 2.125 id depth .550 needs to be a double lip seal. Does this sound right? AA said they don't have it for this kit and the vendors don't have it either

you will need 12 point sockets for the driveshaft, and they are on there, took an impact to get the ones off for me.

kinda late post here but have you had any issues on trans oil getting into the tcase? I did the same adapter and after a week the tcase is filled with trans oil. I think im missing a seal or something

I have a 4r70w trans adapted to the d20 with a zf adapter. it worked for a few weeks and then the tcase was filled with transmission oil. the guy rebuilding the 20 for me said I need a seal or something to make it work and I cant find the right one. If any of you guys have used this adapter...

i did that and it reads 12.5 with everything in and everything out. is that right? I saw some messed up looking wires under the dash and fixed those and it seemed to help, it started up but still runs rough. also turns out my transfercase seal went out and the tcase is filled with transmission...

well just wrote out a long thing and it got deleted, long story short it started then died this morning. realized we spliced for the fan on the coil wire so fixed that and thats how it started. the coils getting 14.5 while running and 10.5 while cranking but if i put the tester on the pos of...
