Today I noticed that the door skins were not bad at all but when I ran my hand underneath I could feel and see that they are rotted out in some areas. Do they sell an entire door? I've seen the outer panels or do I weld in new metal.

I like the look of those in balance with the front. Once I start my restore I will have to see if the rear quarters panels are bad enough to change them out I guess.:o

    Body Repair: Replacing Floor boards

I will be getting ready to do my 67 U14 that I picked up. I have been restoring C3 corvettes and at 71 decided that I would like to do another type vehicle. I chose the Bronco for it's openness if you will. Anyway I have my shop on my property and am looking forward to the restore. I always...

This is my next really dumb question. My 67 Bronco has low or normal rear wheel wells. I have seen other 67's with a higher rear wheel well.

Just went thru the build. Love all the pictures. A real family affair, which is a great way to get things done and enjoy the journey. Your DAD would be proud of all that you are doing. Almost there! RVZIO8-)

Thanks Ken, I will need to change my wire once I get a tank and gauges and hose. Find a place to fill tank and start getting familiar with the 175 MillerMatic. Sold my small Lincoln and stuff when I moved a few years ago. Oh well!

All great info and I also will try the .045 wire. Now back to my next question. Floor panels 1 full panel or individual panels for floor repairs. Seems 1 full panel gets it done quick but could be a bit of a challenge fitting it, like awkward. Thoughts????

What is the general consensus on installing individual floor panels or one piece unit. I know sometimes the 1 piece units get things done quickly but can be a real PITA in maneuvering and getting it set. Thought's!

Ken, are you using Argon gas?

i have a Miller 175 Mig welder. Will be getting my gas setup soon. Since I am assuming that many of the replacement panels are thin what seems to be a good range to set the gas at as well as the welder itself. Wire recommendations. Just trying to see what most people do.

Could you tell me what you have your welder set at to get those really nice welds. Argon gas set at maybe 23, wire# 35?? Would help me a lot. TIG? Thank You Roger
