Got it, well I had lean before I fixed everything, after I didn’t for a while, and now it’s slowly returned… not sure I’m up for pulling axle off again right now… just finished up a different grueling Bronco project, need a break! Half tempted to just 3D print or CNC custom coil spring shims…

Hadn’t thought of that… although tank itself is very light, I’ll re-check measurements once tank is fully empty, see if it changes.

That’s the thing, I did it with the new c-bushings, worked my ass off to get those perfect… is it normal for them to slip?

I recently detached my rear axle mostly to put in leafspring shims to correct my pinion angle… a few weeks after my bronco looks somewhat crooked… any idea what might cause this? Can u-bolts cause lean from the rear? Noted that I’ve replaced entire suspension and bushings within the last year...

Can I ask why you prefer cavity wax?

Here’s a write up of what I did, had a terrible fuel smell due to tanks not being vented, now my Bronco can sit in garage on a 100 degree day and no smell at all… even with garage door open and sun hitting the tank…...

Also how much slack should there be in steel cable, mine seems quite long, assuming you cut to size?

Can anyone tell me what this bracket is on my shift linkage? There’s the C4 bracket to steering column, but this empty u shaped bracket point down with a bolt hole, is that for the stock KickDown bracket?

Got it, I’ll take a look, I eventually will need to replace an area of the cowl, and some other small areas due to rust, but my time doesn’t allow for a bunch of potential can of worms body work and electrical at same time.

No idea if rebuilt, 3 PO, and the last PO didn’t ask questions of that PO, to my frustration as I like details, but it was in decent shape and raging good deal, so I didn’t worry about it. Sorry, wish I was more help, mine wasn’t backwards, all positions looked factory to me, only custom mod was...

Curious if anyone has wired their Bronco in a way that makes it easy to disconnect at firewall in case you want to pull the dash easily? Or other break points, etc… I imagine the more connections the more chances of failure, but would also be nice to have wiring setup in a way it’s easier to...

Thanks all, adjusted my Heims / lock nuts per your advice and seems much smoother! I also spoke to sales folks for my parts and they sent upgraded instructions as they’ve had some other customers with same problem, made those tweaks and also much better.

Thanks everyone! It was the floor interfering with the shifter due to the body lift; all fixed! Not sure this Bronco has been in 4H for years, if not decades…

Do you have photos of KickDown at the transmission? I have a C4, also does KickDown cable work with old style throttle linkage? Looks like you have a throttle cable… I bought the part noticing my KickDown was missing, but not sure how it all attaches… can’t find any solid videos or photos either...

Reading this thread, curious what y’all think about how this guy says single stage is actually a better quality job, and that because the paint industry values speed and convenience over quality, they’ve created a really expensive industry that isn’t as good as industrial paint jobs where...
