Cutting WH Full Circle Fan Shroud

Thanks for the feedback @73azbronco and @DirtDonk . My current setup I described above plus a Flow-Kooler WP and high flow WP pulley currently does a good job keeping the temp around mid-190's while driving, but in stop-and-go situations, with the temps in the mid-90's here in Kansas City, it...

Cutting WH Full Circle Fan Shroud

I'm curious if anyone has ever cut off part of the depth of the circle part of the shroud. I'm running a stock 302 with CVF aluminum versions of the OEM crank and water pump pullies, a 3/4" fan spacer with a OEM 7-blade fan (sits about an 1" from the radiator), and an OEM radiator with the WH...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

My setup allowed for only a 2” tall filter. It’s an Edelbrock housing but a different brand filter. The air temp sensor goes just fine into it. I’ve bought and am also considering trying the Spectre low profile kit below to see if I can get a little cooler air temps.

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

I guess it’s possible I could’ve been conceived in a Bronco during the Nixon administration, but I definitely wasn’t wrenching on one.

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

Thanks, @ngsd . Good luck with yours, I hope you get it figured out. No problem, @toddz69 I've read a lot of your psts, @nvrstuk , you seemed kind of....older?? I mean, experienced. ha I actually read about the canister purge solenoid early on during my research and completely forgot about it...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

Continued… How it went/what I learned: - As can be seen from the parts list, this (for me anyway) was not just something you bolt on on a Saturday. Even without some of the non-related EFI project stuff on the list, it still takes quite a bit of additional stuff to do it in what I would...

    My Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Install

I know there have already been a couple of Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 install posts, but as I'm learning on this forum, inconsistency is the most common consistency with a classic Bronco. So, here is my experience installing the PF4 on my rig and hopefully you find a few takeaways if you're considering...

SOLD American Autowire Battery Cables - $25

I bought these American Autowire 1-gauge battery cables and decided to do something different for the battery terminal connection. I ended up cutting off some of the wire, so they aren’t as long as they were new, but the terminal ends are unused. The positive wire is 22” long and the ground wire...

    Complete Exhaust Recommendations

I don’t have a body lift and it installed on mine. This is what their site says. At least 2” suspension lift required.

    Complete Exhaust Recommendations

I just finished installing the Duff 2 into 1 exhaust kit with the Scott Drake shorty headers (Model C6TZ-9430-CC-SH) and a Magnaflow 20” straight through muffler. I have a stock 302 with C4 and stock cross member. That combination installed pretty easily on my rig with only having to cut off...

Do intake manifold bolts need thread sealant

Look at the difference in distance between the edge of the coolant port and the slotted hole for the intake bolt - that was the issue when I tried the S3’s. The edge of that hole was basically at the edge of my head and coolant could get out. On the standard 1250’s, that hole is narrower, but...

Do intake manifold bolts need thread sealant

1250S-3 gaskets didn’t work on my ‘74 302 original heads. The holes for the water jackets are too big and hang just barely past the edge of the heads, causing it to leak. That was fun to find out.

    Which efi fuel tank??

@toddz69 did you vent your M1A1?

    Gas Tank vent

So it vents to itself? What kind of gas cap will you use?
  19. neilvonarb

    Gas Tank vent

The fact that the vent inlet is that far below the top of the tank, and the implications of that, is obvious now that you say it, but I didn’t even think about it before I installed mine a couple weeks ago. How are you modifying it?
