    Door Latch Rod struggles...

I just dealt/am dealing with this issue - I took photos of the interior of my door showing the rods and perhaps they'll be helpful to you? If you would like I can email the photos to you. You can either PM me or list your email in response.

BOTH doors refuse to open from either inside or outside - please help!

arghh - I'm going a little crazy here trying to do this - it sounds so simple, but I can't seem to find these clips - how big are they? Are they tiny? Like little cotter pins? I think I feel something small, but I am kind of afraid to yank it out especially since I don't know what it is and...

BOTH doors refuse to open from either inside or outside - please help!

Thanks guys - I got both doors open, which is great, but I (sadly/pathetically) still can't see how to solve the underlying problem(s). I looked for the clips to get the latch rod undone in order to twist it to tighten the tension, but I cannot for the life of me find them... The latch rod...

BOTH doors refuse to open from either inside or outside - please help!

Thanks for that link but I am not sure I could tackle that project, well, that's not exactly true - I am positive I would not want to remove the entire latch assembly myself. I'm not that confident in my abilities and not clever enough to even understand what levers do what. that being said...

BOTH doors refuse to open from either inside or outside - please help!

I KNOW!! That's one of my main problems, I don't know what I'm feeling about for, and then I stick my head back in to look and think I get it, but then I'm running blind and can't seem to figure it out (repeat ad nauseum)...

BOTH doors refuse to open from either inside or outside - please help!

I managed to get the passenger side door open, finally. lubed up the inner workings of the latch mechanism/rods and it all seems to be moving about well, but when I shut the door, I still can't get it to open. Looks/feels like (as far as I can tell) there isn't enough tension on the rod that...

BOTH doors refuse to open from either inside or outside - please help!

How do you "adjust the tension on the linkage rods"??? I got the door open, but I am not sure how to fix the problem - I greased everything, it all seems to be moving all right, but it seems like there isn't enough tension on the rod to actually open the door using the (exterior) handle... Any...

    Removing door panels

Thanks Carter - I also posted my question as a separate thread, didn't want to to hijack yours... I will go home after work and try to take photos, but since I can't get the door to open, I am not sure how well the photos would come out, you know? I'll try. I just printed out a schematicc of...

BOTH doors refuse to open from either inside or outside - please help!

Thanks for the responses, I printed out the diagram and will go back and take another look and grease it first. I wish I could get the door opened somehow just to be able to work on it from OUTSIDE the car, you know? *grumbles*

BOTH doors refuse to open from either inside or outside - please help!

After winter finally left and spring arrived, I was greeted with the unpleasant surprise of not being able to open either the driver or passenger doors on my 1968 EB - they won't budge using the interior or exterior latches. On my lunch break today, I went home and took off the passenger door...

    Removing door panels

After this winter, I am unable to open EITHER of my doors from the inside or the outside :( I took off the passenger side armrest, window roller and interior panel, but I have no idea what broke or what I am supposed to be looking for to even fix? Could you help me? I am stumped because now...

waterproof cover to fit a topless EB

I called Covercraft and they don't make a "waterproof" cover - all their cover material is breathable... So they won't work for what I need. Anyone have exterior dimensions of a 1968 bronco all worked out (with or especially without the top on) so I can use them to get a cover made here...
