Dealt with this very same issue when I purchased mine went through two solenoids before I even bought it ! Mine would fire up and starter would stay engaged when you hooked up the battery ( no key in the ignition ! ).Took me awhile to find but what had happened previously was the resistor wire...

Is it a automatic with no key on the column ? Thanks might take it.

Yea 2k is about the limit on a nicely restored top some people pretty much give em away and some want a grip . I picked up a restored one for 200 bucks and that was from a top notch restored Mall Crawler in Newport Beach. Still haven't put it on and that was 6 months ago LOL !

Agree on the Rampage top we had the most rain here in So Cal that we've had in a decade and the tip held up very well. Only around the upper door is a little prone but you can flip out the upper flaps to help with that.
