New guy here and after searching the forums, looking to see what everyone is running on their uncut Broncs from stock height to 3.5 inch lift. We are running appx 2 in rear and 2.5 in front with stock 15's on 33 x 10.50 and they seem too tall and not wide enough? But yet the front's rub when cranked? And it handles kind of twitchy. What's widest that will still fit under the rears?

Post a pic with your lift, wheel & tire size and if you get any rub. Edit-not sure why photo bucket is across the pix? Click them and it goes away at PB..

Running 265/75R16's on 16x8 Weld Typhoon rims with 4" BS. 2" suspension lift (probably was 2.5 initially) with drop track bracket and pitman arm. Plus 1" body lift. No other mods; doesn't rub.

I have 1969, WHs 1”Body lift, 2.5 Suspension

BFG KM2s 235LT 85R/16 and Cragar Wheels, Soft 8, Steel, Black, 16 in. x 7 in., 5 x 5.5 in. Bolt Circle, 4 in. Backspace.

This has been a good set up for me and its drives good. Its not for a "heavy handed" driver but its got a narrow tire and quick ratio steering box, and small steering wheel. I don't have any rubbing. The height is fine for what I use it for (light wheeling, beach, and road). I would like it to be wider "patch" on the ground. I think that would help with floation and some road handling.

I would like to go a little wider and I'm wondering if I went with the same setup you have would I get the same results of "no rubbing" .

You have a 1" wider wheel 16x8 vs my 16x7.

What would the difference of a 265/R7516 and a 235/85R16 be? I ran the chart online and attached it here. Looks like going to your set up I could possibly could get me the wider patch I'm looking for?

thiswildbronco,,, I saw this somewhere and thought that's some nice articulation! I understand how the front is set up, but the back? ,,,, the cantilevered coil overs,, I'd have to look at that alot before I understand how it works. You narrowed the axle to get the wider tires to clear right the fenders? Still pretty crazy articulation though. Any suspension lift?

Pops73 that is a nice looking Bronco. Lifting the front may have shifted the front axle over to the drivers side a bit. That is how mine is and it is a bit twitchy you could say. I am looking into 1" front springs.

3.5" suspension and 1" BL. 33 x 10.5

It is a little tall and if I had to do it again I'd consider doing 2.5"

I run 4” backspace on these 17” Trial Ready rims.
The tires are 255/70 R17s with a 1” Body Lift and no suspension lift at all

the uncut fenders are slightly rolled all good no rub.
but like you the look is a little skinny for me and I’d like a wider tire

I would like to try a 1.5 front suspension lift with a 2.5 rear suspension lift and have a slight rake back to front and then kick the wheels out a little with my 1/4” spacers and slightly fatter/taller tire. I think that would look best.

pictures of what it looks like right now below.

but I also would
