I may have tried to ask this before but here goes. I have a 70 3 speed bronco with manual steering and I have a 74 bronco with auto and power steering can I take the guts out (just the steering parts) and swap the so I would have all the stock power steering stuff in the 70. I am putting power steering in the 70.
It looks like it can be done I just dont see it anywhere. Thanks for the help, Darren

Sounds good thanks. ok another question the column bearings are different for the 73-77 and the 66- 73 so if the 74 stuff is going into the 70 column which to you use?

What are the columns- auto or stick- what do u want to end up with? I would use the newer column, it will be set up for the shaft and couplers to the box.

The 70 is 3 speed and the 74 is auto. Want to end up with the 70 a 3 speed on the tree with power steering. Thanks

I believe you can pull the steering shafts out of the columns, mix the parts up as needed, and that you will have all the parts you need to swap everything around.

It has been a few years since I had the columns apart.
