Do early Broncos use anything but the smaller cap joint? I found a post that says most fords use the large cap at the yoke. Does that help explain why I blew so many joints up over the last few years?

1310 Series u-joint - Cap diameter 1.0625" - Cap to cap 3.2188"

1310 Series large cap - Cap diameter 1.125" - Cap to cap 3.2188"

Also, if it's the large cap at the 9, is it large cap at the 44 too?

I use 1310's on my rear shaft but have replaced both yokes to work with the 1310's.

The larger cap is for the early 66-70 BW shafts.
The smaller is for ther 71 and up Spicer's

If your joints have the external snap clips on the caps their the later spicer.
Would be same for D44 and 9" if stock. One or both can be changed to later. Popular swap. But yokes must changed as well.
