Ok, I am sorry if this has been gone over, but I can not find it any where. I know 16 inch wheels came on some broncos and ford service type vehicles with the 5 bolt pattern. Were they available on any other ford vehicles from any years prior to the bronco?

Thanks and God Bless
Robert

Pretty much any 1/2 ton pickup that had the 5x5.5 bolt pattern could have had 16in rims but they were still rare. A better scource might be to look at early jeeps/willys as a lot of them had 16in 5x5.5 stock. Just look at any old wheel closely as a lot of times the lug nut holes are wallowed out.
Might be better off getting some aftermarket wheels unless your doing a stock resto

But you have to be careful with dodge wheels as the hub cneters are usually smaller.

Old Fords and Lincolns had 16x4 to 16x5.5's. Were talking 1940's. Same 5.5 bolt circle.

Good luck stealing them off of the old Hot Rods.

I bought some 16"x6" 5 on 5.5 from an old jeep/willys for $8 a piece and had them blasted and painted for another $40.
I am really happy with the look and fitment.

Thanks for all the info. What tire size are you running on those wheels?

Those are 255x85 r16 (33x10 +/-). They are the BFG KM2.
Haven't driven yet but the backspacing looks good and I can get lock to lock on the steering (a little rub on the driver side radius arm but not bad).
