I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of wheels I found semi-locally. They are 16"x8" Mickey Thompson Classic Locks with 315/75/16" MTR's on them.

These wheels have 4" of back spacing, which leads me to the question. Will this push the wheels inwards towards the radius arms? Does anyone have pic's of their rig with 4" backspacing and or this wheel combo?

Thanks.

I have 16x7 with 4" BS and 31x9.5 tires. They hit the radius arms a little.

Like rub just a little at full lock? My chrome steelie's and 31"s do that now... I think I can live with that. Of coarse with 35" it will probably rub more.

yeah just a little. I still need to run the knuckle stops out but one is frozen in there.

I run 16X7 white spokes with 4" back spacing and 34X10.50 super swampers which are really only 33" tall band new. They rub the radius arms hard at full lock. I run 1-1/2 inch spacers which solved the problem completely.

Here's a picture of 9X32" Swampers on 16X7 wheels with four inch backspacing. I had to adjust the steering stops a bit to keep them from hitting the radius arms.

That 4" back-spacing is basically only 1/4" or so farther in than your typical 15x8 wheel anyway. Many (most?) of them had about 3 5/8 to 3 3/4" bs, so the difference isn't a whole lot.
Should be a cool setup I would think.
My 15x7's with 3 1/2" bs and 32's rub the radius arms as well.

I run a 16x8.5 rim with 315x75x16 mudders and they rub some. Bigger issue was running a TRO system with the later knuckles 76-77-78-79 etc. The TRO would rub enough to take some of the wheel weights off. I finally went to running wheel spacers and frankly prefer the way it handles and the way it looks better with the spacers than without.

I drove over to Sedona today and picked them up. They look great especially for the price:-X. I'll post up some pic's in my build thread soon, my wife left town with the disk for my camera...

What width wheel spacers did you guy's end up with?
