There's not really anyway to know exactly on the 66 since no there are no existing records of info like that. Of the 705 66' u13 broncos I've documented 23 of them have been Sahara Beige so about 3% of them. If that held true with all the 66' built, that would be 3% of 23776 would be 713. Just a guesstimate though based on what I've got.

Mine came from the factory with Sahara Beige paint. When I first saw the advertisement pics I wasn't so sure about color. Even after meeting the seller and seeing it in person I had second thoughts.

For what it's worth, I love it now. Get many compliments on the Bronco and many times they add "I really like that color too!" Of course when they say it that way I've got to grin and think that their first impression was that they didn't like it and then it kind of grew on them.

My '66 came with the paint code for Sarah Beige on the VIN plate, and the glove box plate (I think its H), but with no trace of ever being Beige. Its been completely apart, so I've checked all the hidden places for any trace, and nothing. Actual color seems to have always been Marlin Blue (M)

Paint it what you want it to be. If it ever becomes important to resale value or for whatever other reason you might desire it to be original, you can re-paint it to suit at the time.
Not that you want to ever go through a re-paint again of course (if you don't have to that is) but if the value is to you, then make it the color that makes you smile every time you see it.
