Price: $ TBD

I've been putting off selling this one for a while now. Mostly because I REALLY like the early year options and unique design features. But mostly due to the more information I dug up, the less support I had within the house....if you catch my drift:(. While waiting for the title and asking the help of several great minds here (THANK YOU ALL!), the production numbers on what seemed "off" at the initial inspection, reveled some very interesting information. The more I found out, the more I wanted to do a factory rebuild and keep it as true to the numbers as I could. That wasn't a popular direction with the family.

Please refer to the link below for more photos but I can provide a details via phone call or a PM. I do not want this going to a restoration shop but rather a member that will preserve it for what it is.

1966 Bronco "Lone Rancher"
V8 289 original-turns w/ fuel at the carb but needs rebuilt
First month production V8 (04/66)
Special Order Paint Peacock Blue (D-code)
"698" Body - presumably 1 of 2 known to exist (1 captain bucket seat only)
Factory ordered Warn 8-bolt hubs
Delivery Package w/ untapped bulkhead and full top (unfortunately missing)
Pulled from an adobe barn in NM/CO border.
Clean title in hand all matching VIN numbers
Various 66 parts/emblems will be included

Missing parts:
Hard top
Driverside inner door panel (I know where to get some, just haven't)
NO hubcaps...this did not come with that package option. It was a work truck. However, if you really want a set, I got a guy who knows a guy;D

All in all, it is very dry except for the floor pans. Depending upon how far you want to take it, it will need at least need a drivetrain rebuild. The body mounts are needing replaced hence the door gaps. I was planning on leaving the body alone and using it as a topless cabin rig for the summer and just adding a BC Broncos soft top. But again, restoring for only one person to drive in it at one time isn't ideal. PM for further questions and pricing. I'll load up more pics but here are some details and shots of the first discovery.

1 of 2 that I've seen with a "6" :) Not many of those out there for sure.

U 15 ? Doors don't look like roadster.

Correct, U15 bulkhead with a single captain seat. I believe almost all bulkheads came with bench seats. Any '66 gurus out there able to confirm that statement? Not many with buckets and even fewer with a driver seat only bucket. I've been in talks with a lot of different people. As I posted this, I instantly regretted doing so but I can't keep them all....perhaps keep this and sell the Seafoam?:?

I noticed a passenger seat in one of the instagram photos you sent me. Was that seat drilled and mounted? From new would the holes have not been drilled? Just curious...

There was a 70's style seat bolted in along with a bunch of other Bronco parts. It still has the factory bolt holes but the difference back then was that with the bulkhead, it would only get a bench seat (which is also awesome!).

Oh man, what a great find. I love the color. Hell I love every think about it. Add Jeff's half cab top a bench or passenger seat and drive it. I am sure it is "slightly" outside my budget.

Good luck with your decision.

Thank you man, I do too!! The further along in this sale I get and the more pics I send out, the MORE and MORE I like this one. I'm almost considering just adding the pass seat like I planned and running it how I want. So many hard decisions.

If it were mine I would rock it in its current capacity. Change nothing and appreciate it for what it is. Just my .02

Living in the NE one would want the top and extra seat but hey. Drive it to the beach alone, habe a few drinks watch the sunset and drive it can to the garage.

Very cool Bronco Brody, but I'd keep Seafoam! I don't want to hear no more of that non sense! Seriously though, I get it either way. You'd sure get a mint for Seafoam in today's market.

That's kind of my thinking at this point as well....who knows. I might hit the lotto and get to keep them all;)

Haha!! I know, that's straight up nonsense! I guess I'll always have something to tinker with on the Seafoam so I shouldn't see that one off just yet. I've had plenty of interest on the '66 but haven't had anyone come up with an actual offer yet (except a few VERY "mint" offers on the Seafoam...extremely tempting). I have some hard decisions to make. We can't all have a garage like you! ;D

Thank you all for your interest! I'm happy (and sad) to say that this Bronco is SOLD and will be going to one of our member's collection and receiving the proper treatment. Maybe someday I'll be able to buy it back (;);) Jon)
