After many years looking for the right roadster, a fellow member helped me make that happed. As the title says, it is a 1966 Factory V8 Roadster, built in June, Springtime Yellow. It was definitely a ranch/hunting camp rig and I am not sure it missed many trees driving through the woods!

I haven't spent much time on it yet due to a few other irons in the fire, but will be uploading pics pretty soon. She is rough, but also has a lot of the original parts. The goal will be to pull this one off the frame and redo everything....and this will be my first attempt at that type of build.

There is a ton I have to learn about this vehicle in the attempt to make it as original looking as possible.

Congrats, glad to hear you found one. Learning about your rig and sourcing the parts for a restoration is the fun part, especially a '66. Looking forward to some photo's.

Here is a pic "pre-delivery". The shipping guy did a great job securing everything so nothing flew off on the way home.

Looks like similar fuel pumps I have seen on 66 V8 Broncos.

Original style master cylinder?

Maybe the original radiator?

Interior 1:
-Looks like original T-shifter and shifter boot.

-Missing passenger visor

- Upper seat covers in OK condition, will probably give to/trade with someone doing a patina restoration, as they would be perfect for that.

Door posts have been protected by many many layers of paint

Exterior is dented everywhere, needs rockers, and both front and rear fenders have been cut.

Bed floor is OK with one side needing replacement.

Chrome rear bumper still here, but pretty badly twisted

Looks like a great project! Bunch of 66 only goodies still there. I have come to appreciate the 66s broncos and the guys that restore them dont know if I would ever tackle one myself but there is a cool factor that they have that the other years dont!

What Hard Top is that? Looks like a one-off design.

There is A Lot of history with your Bronco. Layers and Layers of paint.

I do not think that is original. I am trying to figure out if the radiator setup is original, it doesn't look like its ever been messed with.

Radiator looks great! hard to find an original one without the radiator cap! (Mine has a hole cut in the strap to add a fill cap...ugh) Good score there.

It is a crazy hard top! looks like it was made (pretty well btw) maybe by someone who fabricated camper trailers or something....but crazy enough they used a bronco liftgate, which I thought was pretty interesting. Inside id was filled with rolled insulation which I removed and the whole thing has wooden ribs going down it. I may clean it up and use it, it looks like it may be lighter than my other hardtop AND with way more headroom!

Yeah I was confused on it, glad to hear it is likely an original piece! Thanks for the info!
