• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

Well a 393 is no physically larger than a 351w.. And an AOD shouldn't effect what's in front of the engine.. Many people have 351w based engines and radiators LOL.. Just thought it odd.. But for the price, I'd say you're buying some nice parts and getting the bronco for free.

I'm guessing the high mounted winch restricted the air flow too much.

I didn't know if he had to move the motor forward for the transmission, But I am going to have to go with the comment below... The winch is in the way of the airflow... Wish I had the space... Like you said. Free bronco... Probably a bunch of free parts if you look at it that way. Nice rig.

I asked him about the radiator.

"When I put the aluminum heads on I didn't know the combustion chambers were so much smaller than stock. That increased the compression so much you have to run racing fuel. I tried to run 93 octane and retard the timing til spark knock went away. But on warm days it would over heat. So I got a high efficiency radiator, that only helped a little. Not long after while wheeling radiator got punctured beyond repair. So this time I got the biggest radiator I could find and put it in the back where it would be safe. This worked better but you really still need to run racing fuel. If you want to run pump gas you'd have to either put dish type pistons in or open up the chambers on the heads or replace them. I have the roof but its trashed. Doors r n better shape."

Now we know!!
