• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

This 1973 Bill Stroppe Baja Bronco is one of 650 Baja Broncos built by the Bill Stroppe team between 1971 and 1975. This vehicle was owned by the same family in Southern California for the last 24 years. The VIN number is correct from information obtained from the Baja Bronco Registry, and the original factory VIN number is clearly stamped on the inside of the drivers side door. Since acquiring it in April, we have done numerous improvements to make the truck run, steer & brake better. The suspension has just been recently restored back-to-stock. It has brand new shocks, and is double-shocked in front & single shocked in the back. It rides & handles very nice. We recently installed new 'C' and radius arm bushings, so all new suspension bushings & shocks are new. We also just spent the last two weeks sanding & prepping the entire underside of the vehicle, and undercoating the entire tub, plus blacking-out the suspension, frame & axles, so now the bottom of the truck looks super nice underneath. We also just installed a brand new dual exhaust system & did a tune up & carburetor overhaul.

It has a 351 Windsor engine the former owner installed over 15 years ago (we have the original 'matching number' 302 block that the former owner removed) that runs well. It has a factory C-4 automatic transmission that shifts well, and a Dana 20 transfer case which engages in & out of 4x4 with no problems. Nothing has been done to alter the originality of this Baja Bronco besides the engine upgrade. It is currently titled and currently registered in California and has 2014 tags & a clean California title. We photo copied the old 'Pink Slip' to provide additional owner history. This Baja Bronco still the original roll bar with padding & 'Stroppe' stickers intact. The front floor matting is original and has some cracking. The floor pans are pretty clean, and would only need replacement if you wanted a show truck. There are some minor holes & dents in the floor pans, but no major rust. No rust in the tailgate or rocker panels. The engine bay is very clean, and no rust in the inner fenders. The dash is stock and clean. The wiper cover & sun visors are still intact and in good shape. It has factory power steering plus a factory automatic steering column. The original Stroppe steering wheel is in excellent condition.

The steering is tight for a vehicle of this vintage. It has 15x10 Stroppe installed steel mag wheels (just re-finished) with a set of newer 31x10.50x15 All Terrain tires. A new front disc brake system has recently been installed to bring the brakes up to a more modern standard. We pressure washed the engine bay & underside, plus did a major tune up and all fluids changed. We recently replaced the old hard top with one that is a lot cleaner and nicer, with a super clean chrome roof rack. (The original top is included too if you want it). It also comes with a newer white bikini top for Summer. The original Stroppe door panels are clean, and the dash is in very good shape, with an older CB radio working and am-fm cassette deck intact. The front & rear seats have been recovered and look stock. This Bronco is running & driving very well. We removed the original radiator, coolant & thermostat, and sent the radiator out to be re-cored, now it has a re-cored original radiator, a new thermostat & fresh engine coolant. We also adjusted the timing & rebuilt the carburetor for a smoother ride. The frame, the suspension, the axles & the entire undercarriage have just been prepped & sprayed, and the tub has been undercoated, this truck is ready to drive as is or take it to the next level.
