Going back to an earlier discussion on the spare tire cover. Here is a still image from an original video for dealers regarding the 1973 Bronco. The video is on The Bronco Club of America's Facebook page.

The image shows the tire cover without the Bucking Bronco on a truck with the Ranger package.

Well Well !!!!! This thing finally has shown up after over 15 years of being sold out from underneath of me!!!! I tried to buy this Bronco for almost 7 years from the original owner(that was 15 yrs ago) and the guy you bought it from told the lady who owned it that I had been trying to buy it for him and had lied to her( Oh well thing like that happen...). Glad it has finally has shown it's face to bring it to the Bronco Family !!! The guy that owned it had a Automotive Shop in south KC and bought a few vehicles and just let them sit out back after enjoying them for a while.....This is truly a 495 mile Bronco....other than some weather wear from sitting outside this thing still had the over spray on the inside of the wheel wells when I had seen it last..

Looking at the tires today and noticed these little stickers.
One you can still read some numbers. I keep finding little things like this.

I must be getting old. Who buys a bronco and drives it for 500 miles and parks it? Drive it and enjoy it my friend for tomorrow we die. I just picked up a 73 ranger thats been in storage for 7 years. It's beat all to crap but I'm gonna restore it and drive that rascal. My friends we are living on borrowed time. I'm afraid in the not too distant future the age of AI and autonomous cars are going to force us off the road. I hope not to be around but my kids and grand kids will see those days come so let's drive em. Except maybe yours thats surely one of the last of it's kind out there.

I agree with you! In this case it was not intentional. The owner was sick and had to move west to drier air. His intention was to get the Bronco and use it on his land but it never happened. It stayed with his daughter all those years.
Fortunately I have another Bronco that I drive to work all the time so I don't need to drive this one. That doesn't mean I don't think every day about putting some new tires on it and going for a cruise;D

I had to replace the old auxiliary tank, it was leaking. After taking it down I discovered 47 years worth of sludge inside. Had to also replace a few of the old, dried out and cracked hoses. I was able to find an NOS fuel sender unit to install in the new tank.
Removing and replacing that tank is a pain. First time I've done one, I have all the tricks and tips for next time. One good tip to remember is to put the clamp loosely around any hose before putting it on, it saves a lot of time. :)

Sorry we didn't get to highlight it at the Roundup this year. Yesterday seemed kind of anti-climactic, what with no commute to Lodi.

Oh well, another time, another party.

Glad to see things still getting done. I know this one is pretty darn special
