My wife and I are considering selling her 1976 Bronco in order to purchase a piece of property in Central Oregon. Part of the decision is based on the value of the Bronco. We really love the Bronco so the decision has been a tough one.

My thought is to post it here and see if we have any serious interest.

I am attaching a dropbox link with a few pictures from the build as well as a summary of what was done and parts used

2,200 miles on build

Build Summary:
My wife wanted this bronco due to the originality and she loved the patina. The intent of this build was to keep as much originality as possible while adding features to improve drivability and function.

We pulled the body off the frame and had all the rust professionally repaired with Dennis Carpenter parts while keeping the existing paint in tact as best as possible. All new sheet metal was sandblasted and primed and color matched Line-X ultra premium was applied to the tub and engine bay. Lizard skin was applied to the underside of the tub for sound and heat control. The Bronco was rewired and the original dash was polished and reinstalled. All the seats where reupholstered in original parchment vinyl
Here is a rundown on the running gear

• Engine

o Engine Management harness factory Explorer rewired by EFIguy.

• Transmission

o Converted to work with the factory automatic steering column shifter
with Lokar shift arms and linkage professionally installed

o Factory Dana 20
o Rebuilt by Six States
o Stainless twin stick by JB Fab

• Front Axle

Nice Bronco. Dont do it. Interest rates are really low right now. Figure out a way to keep that thing. Looks like a lot of blood sweat and tears went into it. I am just an hour away and would love to buy it , but just cannot swing it right now. Think you are close on the pricing. Maybe just a bit on the high end but justifiable.
Good luck with the sale. Someone will be really happy to own that thing. My two cents.....

Thanks Gupster. I just have to decide if it is worth it to sell, which has been the problem.

Great job on the built. I like the way you kept the patina. I bet that thing moves with the 5.0 and small tires. I was pleasantly surprised at how much power mine had after the 5.0 conversion. Hopefully you can keep it but good luck with the sale. ;D

I know this truck... "Tina"~~~!

I appreciated the moment I spotted it on Instagram.

Were I not already eyeball-deep in my own over-the-top and over-extended build of my own, I'd buy this in a heartbeat. And for your asking. I think the current market would support a price of $59K, particularly since is does maintain so much of its original soul. My original goal was to approach my build similarly, but my body was too far gone.

I see you have another red bronco as well, so it looks like you won't be bronco-less if you do sell. But hopefully you can figure out a way to keep it. But if central Oregon beckons, makes perfect sense.

Good luck!

I watched the build in person and have driven this bronco around town and on a 100 mile road trip. If somebody doesn’t grab this one........?

I love this Bronco. Been following for a while. Definitely an inspiration for the ideas behind mine. Hope you don't have to sell it but good luck if you do.

I don’t understand why this hasn’t sold. Have you seen the recent sales on Bring A Trailer? If your still serious I would look into that.
