I recently purchased a 1977 Bronco Ranger. I decided to go ahead and start a build thread to document the process.

I am new to early Broncos so this will be a learning experience for sure.

A few basic specs:
1977 Bronco Ranger
302 V8
C4 Automatic
Factory Power Steering & Brakes
85K on the odometer (no idea if that is real, but condition of the drivetrain supports that theory)

I am positive that I will be seeking advice from everyone here as this project progresses.

Looks pretty good in the pics. Best advice I was given: Pick one "project" at a time and finish it...then drive her! This was from a guy who did a complete tear down and it's been sitting for almost 3 years!

I suspect that guy may live around the corner from me... I heard the same advice last night.

This is my first Early Bronco project. Other projects were Jeep Wranglers. The major difference here is age and rust. Mechanically, it runs pretty well. will do a simple set of fluid changes, new spark plugs, and service the front hubs. That is the easy part. The floorboards need to be replaced. I suspect that could open Pandora's box.

Post some close up pics of the rust areas that concern you and I am sure you will get some good advice. Pandoras box can vary but some things will be common sense,

At least the front end is straight and has all the factory pieces. My 77 has no front bumper, the frame horn on the drivers side is missing and.... wish mine looked this good! Post pics as you start your build. I know I will so feedback will be be forthcoming.
