I agree, you should go for a LSx if you are going the Chevy route.I am on the side that who cares what brand engine is under the hood? As long as it makes good pwer and is reliable, or just makes good power.. :) I mean let's all be honest, most of the Broncos on here are full of "non-Ford" parts. I love my Bronco and there are a lto fo Fords I would love to have, but there are also a ton of chevy vehicles I would love to have. I also own a Toyota (gasp) and an old SL Mercedes Benz. Who gives a flying $#% as long as you enjoy it. my .02 :)

i agree with you as well. ls series engine is a justifiable swap until ford make a engine that is even comparible. do an ls swap and you may as well run a better gm trans, for every ford trans there is a better gm one. aod=700r4 c4=turbo350 c6=turbo400. coming from desert racing background which no form off motorsports is harder on parts, you run what doesnt break. the 9in debate is even fishy. i run a fabricated full floater 9in. only ford part is the yoke to make the stock small ujoint the week link :) i really wish ford would make something that compares to the ls engines. they virtually are bullet proof, light, never leak oil, and never overheat.

Jon Kasse wins the engine builders showdown every year with a 40 year old FORD C motor aganist LSX or whatever! if you want a getto motors engine then buy a getto motors junker and keep the TRASH out of the FORDs!!!

So then why not put a LSx in your Mercedes? I suspect you would draw the line there. %)

I think we should respect others and what they choose to do to THEIR Bronco, Like it or not it is not yours to decide.

Personally I would not put a Chevy in MY Bronco, Not saying I would not help a guy put one in a Bronco. Hell My motor came off a freaking Wood Chipper.

Is anyone here employed by Ford? I am always suprised by the loyalty. Chevy guys to chevys, ford guys to fords. My Bronco left Ford's hands about 37 years ago they haven't helped much since then and there are some weaknesses for sure. I love my bronco and I'm proud of it but I sure as heck didn't leave it alone.

you can call it trash or whatever you want, but in the end it just puts down ford, ford has yet to make a line of engine as good as the ls series. im no chevy guy either, i really wish ford would make something new and not bigger than a hemi like the mod motors. id run a new 6.2 if it wasnt a mile wide.
