I noticed a 1996 351 e250 van and decided to pop this motor out.
I didnt want the E7 heads or lower intake and ditching them let me pay just $110 for a short block. If I use it I will put some GT 40P heads on it and the Lightning lower with an Explorer EFI.
Pulled the heads in the junk yard and cylinder bores were beautiful. I am gonna measure the cylinders and am thinking it prolly just needs a ball hone.
Gt 40P heads are around 61cc, any idea what my compression would be with these stock pistons and a 61cc GT 40P head?
I am assuming I could buy a set of pistons to bump compression up to around 10:1 is my goal. What would my compression be with the 61cc heads and these?
