Just wondering if anyone else out there like me is wondering when someone is gonna swap the power train and drive train from the new bronco into an early bronco chassis. I know it'd be a ton of work but someone out there has wrecked their new bronco already and there's an engine and transmission just waiting to be swapped 🤌

The 7-speed manual is NOT available with the 2.7 engine
You can only get it with the 2.3 4-cylinder.

Yes it will happen, someday. Good luck finding the parts right now. You would pretty much need to find a totaled out new Bronco, right specs, that didn't destroy the drivetrain.
Once the easy part is out of the way, there are the electronics. It will be a couple years until someone gets the engine to run stand alone. This new powertrain is tied into everything in the vehicle. Stuff like unplugging the stock meter will shut down the engine (that was 10 years ago, even more tied together now).

If you have to ask, you don't have the skills to pull it off. It would be easier to make an adaptor to mate the 7-speed to another engine.

Watch for what that sells for. I bet it is over $25k if not a lot more. I would be surprised if it wasn't back on the road by the end of the year.
Yeah the amount these wrecked vehicles end up out the door for is insane. I guess when there are states that will allow for a rebuild and resale following an inspection, inspection being very loose term and open to interpretation based on the state, it’s to be expected.

There are only 2 manuals on Copart right now, with the other listed as flood damage. There is no way I’d mess with a flooded vehicle. Trying to be the first to figure out the OPs original question will be painful enough without having to chase water damage.

Someone will donor eventually, but doing it cost effectively could not be part of the equation right now. You’d have to be in a ‘money doesn’t matter’ position to pull it off financially.

In my opinion it would not be worth all the effort. I have two new broncos one with the 2.7 one with the 2.3 both are autos but I have driven the 2.3 with a manual. I really don't see any advantage to it over all the other early bronco motor options. And like everyone else has said the amount of work , wiring and programming needed would be totally ridiculous. You would be better off buying a base 6g bronco and making it look and feel retro. Unless you have I don't give a shit money and time and were an ex electrical engineer for Ford then go for it!

Mars Automotive has done it.

He took a 2.7 ecoboost, did some adapting of input shafts, and made a 5 spd bolt to it and had it running on a crate. The guy made it all work for a customer building a 5 spd Ranger.

I know old thread, but why not. Lol

I don't want the 2.7 just the 7 speed behind my 302. Isn't it just the modular bolt pattern? Any word on someone doing this? This would be better then the ax 15 or nv's

I have not heard the 2.3 ecoboost bellhousing being compatible with anything else.
If it is the same as a MOD motor, I am sure someone would have bolted the two together by now.

If you want to start developing an adaptor...
