I have decided to go ahead and get a hood with a scoop and put a 2" body lift, if needed, to resolve the issue. I did make my way to the fordsix forum but I hate to put money into the 200 since I have plans to upgrade the motor next year. Someone on the fordsix forum decoded the numbers on my head and said the motor was built in 1978.

I don't believe U need both. Flip the hood back & run a "curved straight edge" accross to prove it 2 yer self.
I'd get a scoop @ AutoZone or some where & cut a hole in the hood or go tho the trouble of the lift. A hood is over $400. In my world (which is a very small space) I just wanna get er done & go onto use...a 'drop base' ac outta the junk yrd might even B enuff in ur case. Again my style only.
