23 gallon fuel tank- how to build. Plans

[bearsden73]

Many years ago. 18-20 years. I printed and gave away a shitload of copies of plans to build a 23 gallon fuel tank for my 73 bronco i had at the time. I have acquired the needed pieces to build my bronco from scratch. And $1000 for a fuel tank is rediculous. Wondering if anyone on this forum might have acopy of the plans i gave away along time ago.

has anyone built this tank? I'm drawing it on CAD now and will laser it out soon if it works. Just want to prove concept before wasting material.

Yup, times have changed for sure. Seen some tanks go for upwards of 2500.00 with skid plate, pump & shipping! Bit much for me, but this is and will always be just a hobby. I'll just stop more for gas, tell people it's a Bronco and not a jeep, and carry more on the trails!
I may have a copy of your tank drawings......probably a few computers ago so I'll have to take a look through some drives...

Are you in a position to convert to metric and share afterwards?

I did build it and using it. I slightly modified it but the overall dimensions did work.

What did you use for the gauge sending unit with this? Thanks.
